Vulcan Bomber flies into Manchester

The Vulcan did a flypast at Woodford airfield then swung round to Manchester airport where it did an aborted landing with a typical Vulcan climb out! Unfortunately the autofocus on my camera decided not to work so the video is a bit blurry but at least you can here the infamous Olympus engines at full throttle!

It has just had it confirmed by Air Ops that they have agreed (subject to the usual caveats of weather and serviceability) that XH558 will be doing a missed approach and Climb-out from Manchester Airport on Sunday 27th September en-route to Southport around 16:00.
Time yet to be confirmed!

Thom came home this weekend for our Anniversary which was nice, he did happen to have some washing with him too 😉
We drove him back and stopped off in Holmfirth (where they film Last of the summer wine) on the way home.
